For more than 70 years, Uniting AgeWell has helped older people across Victoria and Tasmania live well through integrated services grounded in dignity, connection and practical support. As an organisation of the Uniting Church in Australia, it delivers responsive care that feels personal—because trust is built with every conversation, visit and thoughtful moment.
Services are designed to meet people where they are—at home and in their local community. Support ranges from help with everyday tasks and staying independent, to allied health and wellbeing services, respite and carer support, retirement living and residential care.
The AgeWell approach reflects what many people value as they age: staying connected to community, remaining as independent as possible, having purpose and being valued for their contribution. Uniting AgeWell supports each person’s ageing journey through choice, autonomy, flexibility and connection.

Named a trusted brand for two years running, Uniting AgeWell sees this recognition as an invitation to keep listening, improving and advocating for older Australians. As the new Aged Care Act (introduced in November 2025) reshapes the sector, its teams continue helping people access timely support in ways that suit their lives.
Skilled, compassionate staff help customers navigate aged care and coordinate or adjust services as circumstances change, so people feel respected, informed and supported at every step.
“Uniting AgeWell has invested significantly in our services in recent years, including in regional Victoria and Tasmania,” says Uniting AgeWell CEO Andrew Kinnersly.
“With a rapidly ageing population, we expect demand for in-home and residential care to grow. We’re ready to meet it with innovative, high-quality aged care services that help individuals and communities to thrive.”

Across 2025, Uniting AgeWell opened four Community Hubs in Burwood East, Berwick and Braybrook (Victoria), and Rosny Park (Tasmania). Additional sites in Bundoora and Waurn Ponds are scheduled to open in 2026.
The Hubs support independence, health and wellbeing and social connection as you age. Each Hub offers a fully accessible, welcoming space with an AgeWell Gym, rehabilitation, allied health and wellness programs, plus on-site local home care teams—making it easier to get information and services to live safely and independently at home.
Uniting AgeWell also amplifies older people’s voices through its podcast, The Ageing Ideal. Each episode brings together people from all walks of life to share experiences, challenge assumptions and spark new conversations about ageing. Across two seasons, topics range from risk-taking and love at any age, to finding meaning and joy, grandparenting in today’s world, talking mental health, end-of-life, and the reflective “Dear Younger Me”.

Uniting AgeWell staff take time to understand what “living well” looks like for each person and community. Guided by the organisation’s values, teams work alongside customers and families, using feedback to strengthen support and nurture wellbeing in inclusive, respectful and culturally responsive ways.
By placing older people at the centre of decisions and the issues that matter most to them, Uniting AgeWell helps people live well—with choice, support and peace of mind.
